The overall processing operation begins with incoming fruit via trucks from our independent member packinghouses. We also Co-Process fruit for other manufacturers, returning the finished product to them. After grading the fruit to remove unacceptable pieces, the fruit goes automatically through an oil extractor which extracts the oil from the whole fruit. This oil is further processed, refined and sold as Cold-Pressed Oil. The fruit then goes into the juice extractors, where the juice is separated from the fruit. After extraction, the Wet Peel material is either sold directly as cattle feed or further processed into a Shaved Peel for use as a food ingredient. We process a wide variety of citrus and other fruits including but not limited to Oranges (Navel, Valencia and Blood Oranges), Tangerines, Lemons, Grapefruit and Pomegranates. |
